So, what is it?
Cellfie is a science learning companion that lives on your phone. It's built around the material you already study from: your books, your PDFs, your notes. It helps you search them, connect ideas across them, revise from them and keep your own thoughts right next to them.
It's not trying to replace your textbooks, your teachers or your lab. Think of it as the desk you study at, not the book you study from.
Local-first, in plain words
It sounds technical, but the idea is simple. Your library, notes and highlights are designed to stay on your own phone, not sit in a cloud account you never asked for. There's nothing to sign up for, and Cellfie is built to keep working when your signal doesn't. A few features, like Online Knowledge, can pull in reliable science info from the internet when you want it.
What you can do in there
Read your own books
Add books, PDFs and references to your Library, then tag them (Biology, Class 11, Microbiology, whatever fits). Tags tell Cellfie what each source is actually about, so when you look up something like Gram staining, it knows which books are worth checking. One concept can draw on several books at once, so you're not stuck with a single author's explanation.
Make sense of a concept
Pick a concept and it gets its own study space: a core explanation, a quick revision view for the night before, an exam focus section, and a spot for your own memory tricks. Explanations stay simple, with diagrams where they help. Your sources and your own notes sit alongside.
Wander around
When you want to explore instead of study, there's plenty to open.
- Organism ExplorerBacteria, viruses, fungi and more, laid out so they're easy to browse and easy to come back to.
- LaboratoryProcedures, reactions, formulas, biosafety and practical know-how, plus Physics and Chemistry content.
- Periodic TableAll 118 elements, with valency, oxidation states, electron configuration, trends and memory hooks. Fair warning: you'll open one element and end up reading about five.
- World ExplorerA globe you can spin, zoom and search. Tap a country for its profile, from geography and culture to government and trade.
Practice for exams
Exam Prep covers the Constitution of India, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs for 2026 (India first, Gujarat especially). Topics come in short pieces instead of textbook walls: key facts, shortcuts, common traps and a quick revision, with a memory hook to help things stick. The Formula Hub and calculators are there for the maths and science side.
Put two things side by side
Comparison Studio is for when two ideas keep blurring together, like DNA and RNA or Gram-positive and Gram-negative. Line them up and see the differences on screen instead of holding both in your head.
Keep what matters
Your notes, highlights, favorites and saved items live in your Study Vault and My Library. The Dashboard helps you find your way back in, and Search saves you from opening every section to find one thing.
Little comforts
Themes and font settings so it's comfortable to read, and a User Manual built right into the app (find it in Settings) so you're never guessing how something works.
Why I made this
Science is huge. Between textbooks, lecture notes, papers, formulas, organisms, procedures and everything your professor casually expects you to remember, it gets messy fast. I made Cellfie to give all of that a place to live.
I started with microbiology students in mind, and it has grown to cover physics, chemistry and exam prep too. It won't make science easy, but it should make studying a little less chaotic.
A small technical note
Cellfie is a web app built with React and TypeScript, and it keeps your library and notes in your device's own storage. This APK is the Android version. It's still growing, so some corners are more polished than others and new content keeps arriving.
